GAZOONTITE!

It's that time of year! It's almost too cold to go outside. All the windows are buttoned up for the winta (at least in the east). Your breathing air that has been recirculated and if your in public places god knows who's been in and out of the places you frequent. Needless to say, you might find yourself feeling a little less than GREAT during this time of year
If you are getting your recommended daily intake of fruits and vegetables you are on your way to staying healthy.  Here are a just a TINY few of some daily additions you might want to include to increase your resistance! They are easy and quick and almost everyone likes them.

There isn't just one thing that you should take to help prevent a cold or flu.  Rather its what you put in your body on a regular basis.  Vitamins, minerals, antioxidants—these are what keeps your body strong, and without them you're not giving your body the edge it needs to ward off infection."  Foods from every food group,  Make them a part of your diet for your best defense against colds and flu.

Eat or Juice More Apples - They are the most popular source of antioxidants in our diet. One apple has an antioxidant effect equivalent to 1,500 mg of vitamin C. and they are loaded with protective flavonoids, which may prevent heart disease and cancer. Raw or juiced you know what they say "An Apple A Day,.."
Monkey Around with Bananas  One of the top food sources of vitamin B6, Bananas help reduce fatigue, depression, stress and insomnia, and are high in magnesium, which keeps bones strong, and potassium, which helps prevent heart disease and high blood pressure. Eat it raw, cut it up and have it with some berries, Blend it in a Juice with some spinach and orange!

You Got A Lemon- That's A Good Thing!  Lemons are anti-bacterial, anti-viral, boost the immune system, aid in digestion, cleanse the liver, reduce fever, fight symptoms of cold and flue and help fight fatigue.  A juiced lemon is the most concentrated and potent form of Vitamin C and are rich in Vitiman B6, calcium, magnesium, potassium, folic acid and flavonoids. Add it to your juices or drink it with warm or cold water.

The list is endless-  JUST DO IT!  EAT OR DRINK your Fruits AND Vegetables and Stay Healthy this winter.

The Daily Juicer Offers - Food Matters "Super Food Greens"

The Daily Juicer  is proud to offer Food Matters Superfood Greens as an Add On to our New Extracted Juices and Blended Smoothies.

You want to get healthy!  Drink at least one if not more Extracted Juices per day! You Can Do It!

Read what Food Matters  Superfood Greens are all about.

INGREDIENTS

Alkalizing Wheat Grass, Barley Grass and Alfalfa Grass juice powders our grasses are juiced, then low temperature dehydrated to retain nutritional value.
Organically farmed Spirulina and Chlorella
Our algae is sourced from the highest quality and is grown in pure, uncontaminated waters certified low in lead, aluminium and heavy metals.
Nutrient dense superfoods, Vanilla, Mesquite and Cinnamon
We have sourced these pure superfoods to boost nutrition and enhance flavor.

MOST GRASS BLENDS IN STORES USE INFERIOR INGREDIENTS!

When putting this blend together we discovered the REAL truth about how most grass blends are processed. When you walk into your local health food store you'll see green superfood blends ranging from $19 right up to $97 and many seem to have similar ingredients... so what's going on?
It's all got to do with how the grasses are grown, prepared and processed. It's the difference between GRASS POWDER and GRASS JUICE POWDER!
Grass Powder vs Grass Juice Powder
  • Bulkier and cheaper to produce
  • Harsh on the throat
  • Pound for pound, fewer nutrients than grass juice powder
Most products use cheaper GRASS POWDER by CUTTING then DRYINGthe whole grass. This results in a bulkier powder which is cheaper, harsher on the throat and has less overall nutrient density. You can do your own little test at home by mixing grass powder in water and you'll notice the sediment, fuzzy feeling on the throat and the color will be more brown.
  • Higher nutrient density
  • Dissolves in water
  • 100% raw
Premium products (such as ours) use more expensive GRASS JUICE POWDER meaning they CUT the grass then COLD PRESS JUICE the grass then LOW TEMPERATURE DRYthe grass. This results in a richer finer green grass blend with a higher overall nutrient density and is100% RAW.

When you mix grass juice powder in water it is bright green and looksALIVE and FRESH! It mixes into water completely and looks like a fresh wheat grass juice shot.

There is a huge difference between what most companies use and it's mostly got to do with saving money. So make sure whether you buy the Food Matters Superfood Greens blend or are shopping for others ask if it uses grass juice powder!

"The GRASS JUICE POWDER in the FOOD MATTERS SUPERFOOD GREENS blend is the closest you can get to a fresh shot of wheat grass juice from a juice bar!"

Please SHARE THIS WITH EVERYONE you know!

Caution: If you haven't seen this yet, watching This Movie COULD Be Beneficial To Your Health!    If you've already watched Food Matters- you heard it said that less than 6% of graduating physicians in the USA receive any formal training in nutrition and that 26% of all patients discharged from hospitals are more malnourished than when they went into the hospital! We need EDUCATION NOT Medication
    From now until December 10th,
"Food Matters" is available to watch for Free online -    Please Share this with EVERYONE you know as not everyone has access to Netflix which Food Matters is currently available on.

This movie sheds some incredible light on how the American Diet is out of control and how by simply changing what we eat and how we eat can be the cure to many of the ailments that plague us.

I hear this all the time "...I don't have much time, I need to be able to eat on the run, and fast food works, yes I know it's not good for me but I just don't have the time..."  It's a sad truth that our lifestyles and our society makes it way to EASY to eat the wrong things.  And thanks to folks like those at Food Matters the word it getting out that We are the Masters Of Our Bodies and We ARE WHAT WE EAT!

As a passionate believer that doing one thing 2 times a day can make a huge difference in your life just try adding a couple glasses of Fresh RAW Juices to your daily routine- It's a great place to start! What do you have to loose?

This movie is packed eye opening information.  Are You (or Someone you know)  battling cancer? go to 47 minutes 54 seconds in the movie:  Do you know someone who is depressed? go to the 42 minute 22 seconds in the movie:  How about Cardiovascular issues go to 25min 16 seconds  Better yet just start at the beginning!

As a result of my passion for juicing I've recently helped to expand a Frozen Yogurt Shop to now include 100% Fresh Extracted Juices and Blended Smoothies. I've never worked in a retail environment before and this is amazing. People that come in are excited to see that there IS a healthy alternative to what they put in their bodies.  Of course not everyone likes vegetables and to have them RAW is even more foreign.  But with time and education perhaps they will come to enjoy real food!    We even have some of the amazing Superfood add-on's David Wolfe speaks about in this film.  Think about it,  If you look at any average Main Street what do you see for Food Choices?  FAST FOOD and Good OLD fashioned American Diet Restaurants!  The choices we have for Healthy Alternatives are FEW and FAR Between.

Whether you Juice at home or on the go, JUICE DOES A BODY GOOD!

We Need More Education - Not Medication!
    Please Watch "Food Matters"  today!

    Happy Thanksgiving

Today is a day which for many revolves around food and cooking - family, friends and just overall goodness- All I have to say about it is -  Enjoy the day, Be Happy and don't get caught up in worry about what to eat and what not to eat.  You are the master of your mouth and you have the freedom to choose what you put in it.  Just take it easy and enjoy! Start the day off with a healthy Juice (like The Big Green or perhaps a Super A,B,C) and have a great Thanksgiving!

    Crock pot Broccoli Casserole
When it comes time to EAT - A ole time favorite of mine is a Crock Pot Broccoli Casserole - this is really a delicious side dish - but if you've ever cooked Broccoli, it definitely has a distinct scent to it while it's cooking.  So I typically put it in the Crock Pot around six in the morning (which I just finished doing), then put the Crock Pot in the mud room (or a room that doesn't get much traffic - The scent of it cooking just doesn't seem to go well with the other scents coming from the kitchen- but it Tastes great) and when it's time to eat I transfer the casserole to a serving dish and it's usually a hit. Fresh Broccoli, Green Onion, Sharp Cheese (if you want to use a cheese substitute that's up to you - this is ONE dish I use REAL cheese), and crushed crackers (Ryevita whole grain or whatever you like, just read the label), Cream of Celery Soup (or you can buy a soup just read the label).  This is so simple and so yummy! 5-7 hours low in the crock pot or 2-3 on high.
    Fresh Cranberry Relish

When I was a kid (growing up on the west coast) I remember Thanksgiving with Cranberry Sauce - But the only thing is that the Cranberry Sauce was out of a Can and it looked like Jello!  I NEVER ate it - it tasted like a can and I grew up NOT liking Cranberries.  Until I moved to New England!  My first Thanksgiving in Maine one of my friends brought over Fresh Cranberry Relish- So Simple it's stupid.  Put a couple cups of Fresh Cranberries in a saucepan and add water (almost covering the cranberries).  Add some sweetener (if you read the label on bagged Cranberries it calls for a cup of SUGAR), you can use alternatives to white sugar like Maple Syrup (which is what I use and only half a cup).  Bring the water to a boil and cook until the Cranberries POP! - Chill and Serve!

Now for desert - Most likely it will be a piece of Apple Pie or Pumpkin Pie - It is Thanksgiving after all.  But, if you're looking for a sweet treat and want to make a smoothie - How about a Savannah's Sunshine - 1 Banana, 1 c. Pineapple, 1 Orange, 1 c Almond Milk (ice) -  So Delicious! and it will satisfy any sweet tooth.

    Savannah's Sunshine
What ever you do or eat today - May it be Enjoyable!  And, if your in Portsmouth, NH on Black Friday Stop by The Daily Juicer / Yogurt Licious - $1.00 off All Juice and Smoothies - and Fro-You at $.39cents per ounce (may not be combined with any other promotion or discount).
